|I would like to create a smb share with read only access.
To mount the share I want to use a file share only user account with a password.
I do not want to use a regular account for file sharing as I need remote login (ssh) enabled.
I have created my share and a file share only user using Sharepoints.
I can mount the share with a regular user accounts but not the newly created file share only user.
The file share only user was created with UID of 400.
I believe this has something to do with the Enable Accounts dialog on the Windows File Sharing Settings under System Preferences.
My regular users are listed to select but not the new file share only user.
A few side questions,
Which UID and group is recommended for this type of user.
I would like to name this user "Guest".
Is this OK or will it conflict with Windows guest.
