I just thought I'd pass on a good news story. I've just spent 5 hours figuring out how to get a Mediagate MG-350HD to stream video content from my PowerMac G5 to my LCD TV.
The Mediagate OS seems to only see computers on the newtork that have 'sharepoints' ala Windows (and OS 9). It didn't seem to matter what permissions I gave my files or folders (after having activated windows sharing).
Within minutes of installing Sharepoint and creating a share (from my movies folder), the Mediagate discovered it and happily streamed the contents to my TV.
Just wanted to say thanks for making this software. I was almost resigned to manually copying files across to the Device via USB 2.0.
Cheers,
Tobes. |

Hi,
Could you give a more detailed description of setting up Mac and Sharepoints to stream with MG350HD. I am also having problems
using Hard Drive with Media Gate. How did you format HD? I've
formatted Mac OS Extended and while MG350HD sees HDD when trying
to get content get Message: No device is connected |
